Foreign students who are nationals of EU member countries and other countries have the right to participate in competitions for the award of scholarships, accommodation in university residences and international mobility contributions.

Participation is restricted to students who are registered at 'Federico II' University and who fulfil the competition's income and achievement criteria.
Criteria are indicated in the announcement that is normally published in August every year, with the deadline for applications running until the end of the following October.

Students' financial situation must be certified by the relevant authority in the country where the income was earned and translated into Italian by the consular and diplomatic offices in the applicant's country.

Evaluation of the economic situation of candidates who come from particularly poor countries with low Human Development Indicators is carried out on the basis of certification from the Italian representative in the candidate's country
